A poem created as a class assignment in order to communicate the voice of the Wizened Youth, a hallucination born of repressed thoughts and experiences of the main character from the novel By Night, in Chile.

Poem: A Cat, a Moment, a Flicker of Light
A poem that began to stew in my brain while cat-sitting for a friend one evening.

A Short Ode to a Cafe
A short poem written about a wonderful local cafe. They put out a call for people to post some poetry about them on their facebook page, and I decided to write a little something.
The fragrance of coffee, a rich atmosphere
in which the hum of conversation and machines
rises and dips and swells, a tide
under the direction of a hundred tiny moons.
It's a sea that holds
a thousand flavors - bitter and sweet,
cold and hot, dark and light.
Come taste it, sit under a canopy of stars and
be refreshed, revitalized, refueled,
in this small but welcoming, warm world
that can be found, always,
in a Blue Moon.

A poem created late at night in a creative fervor, about the life and fears of a small plant.
But a Life, a Flower
